We preserve the most important books and writings on herbs from all over the world in one place. Help us protect our shared herbal legacy.
About Us
Founded by a small group of practicing herbalists and scientists, The World Herb Library is a living archive of humanity's deep relationship with the healing power of plants — bringing together the voices of herbalists, physicians, and pharmacists across time.
Rare and hard-to-find books, digitized from two of the world's greatest personal botanical libraries, are being preserved and made searchable. The collection will ultimately encompass nearly 8,000 individual volumes, documenting the entire history of herbal practice.
Instead of secondary literature, you go directly to the printed knowledge of the great herbalists, scientists, and healers themselves.
