A Nonprofit Digital Archive
Preserving and sharing the world's rare historical herbals and books on natural medicine — freely, for every curious reader.
Curated gateways into thousands of digitized volumes.
About Us
The World Herb Library was founded by a small circle of herbalists, botanists, and scientists devoted to a single belief: that the accumulated knowledge of traditional plant medicine belongs to everyone.
We are carefully digitizing nearly 8,000 volumes — from Renaissance herbals to 19th-century pharmacopoeias — safeguarding fragile pages against time and making centuries of healing knowledge searchable and free for scholars, students, and the simply curious.
